GENERAL SAFETY RULES
TO WORK IN SAFE CONDITIONS WITH THIS TOOL, IT IS IMPERATIVE TO READ
THE DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY FOR USE AND TO FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS.
IF YOU DO NOT RESPECT THE INFORMATION WRITTEN IN THIS MANUAL THE
WARRANTY MAY BE VOIDED.
1. Work area safety:
a.
Keep work area clean and clear.
b.
Keep children and bystanders away while operating the mechanical
crimping tool.
Distractions can cause you to lose control.
c.
Do not leave the tool in acidic, alkaline or other corrosive gases or liquids and do
not operate or store the tool in high temperatures to avoid damage.
2. Personal safety
a.
Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating the
tool. Do not use the tool when you are tired or under the influence of drugs,
alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while operating hydraulic tools
may result in serious personal injury.
b.
Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protection. Safety equipment such as a
mask, non-skid shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection will reduce the risk of
personal injuries.
c.
Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep your hair
,
clothing
and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry or long hair can be
caught in moving parts.
d.
Do not force the tool. Use the correct tool for your application. The correct tool
will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
e.
Store out of the reach of children and do not allow untrained workers who are
unfamiliar with the mechanical crimping tool around this tool. This tool is
dangerous in the hands of inexperienced users.
f.
Maintain your tool. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts,
breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the mechanical
crimping tool’s operation. If damaged, have the mechanical crimping tool
repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained tools.
g.
Use the Mechanical Crimping Tool, accessories and tool bits etc., in accordance
with these instructions and in the manner intended for this tool, considering the
