In the case of positive control error and increasing pressure, the step switch shifts up one stage. This means
that an additional condenser capacity stage is enabled. In the case of negative control error and reducing
pressure, the step switch shifts down one stage. This means that a condenser capacity stage is disabled.
Condenser capacity stages are also disabled (provided this is selected via the parameter Fan off w/comp
(menu 3-3-1)) when all compressors are switched off.
4.5.4 Star-delta switching of the fan motors
The relay stages of the HP control can be used for star-delta switching of the fan motors for the pack
controller. This requires that the system is configured on the high-pressure side as "step controller" (menu 3-2-
2-1).
You can select between the following switching modes:
Direct
No star-delta switching. Up to 8 fans (with SIOX extension module) can be controlled.
SSFF
The first half of the relay outputs controls the star operation of the fan motors (S = slow speed) while the
second half of the outputs controls the delta operation (F = fast speed). Up to maximum 4 fans (with
SIOX extension module) can be controlled.
SSSF
The fan motors are loaded or unloaded with all except the last relay stage. With the last relay stage, all
fans are switched simultaneously from star operation (S = slow speed) to delta operation (F = fast
speed) and vice versa. Up to maximum 7 fans (with SIOX extension module) can be controlled.
4.5.5 Parametrisation of the switching modes
If the high-pressure is controlled using a step controller, the fan capacity stages are loaded or unloaded using
the digital outputs of the controller. These outputs can also be used for star-delta switching of the fan motors.
Using the following selection list, three switching modes can be selected for this via the parameter "Switch
mode" (menu 3-2-2-1):
