Exhaust System

Spark Arrester Screen

Level 2.

Parts required: Spark Arrester Screen

Carbon deposits in muffler will cause a drop in engine output and
overheating. Spark arrester screen must be checked periodically.

1.

Disconnect spark plug lead

from spark plug.

2.

Remove engine cover.

3.

Remove spark arrester screen

(C) from muffler. Replace

screen if plugged with carbon

deposits.

Note: When cleaning carbon

deposits, be careful not to

damage the catalytic

element inside muffler.

4.

Install spark arrester screen.

5.

Install engine cover.

6.

Connect spark plug lead.
