8. Make sure that the appliance is placed on a stable, safe surface,
resistant to heat, to prevent its tipping over or water entering the
appliance.
9. Do not use the appliance close to flammable objects or underneath
them, e. g. close to drapes. Ensure an adequate air circulation, leave
about 10–15 cm of free space around the appliance.
10. We do not recommend using extension cords. They could overheat and
cause fire. If it would be necessary to use an extension cord, it should
have the same current carrying capacity or higher than the power cord
of the appliance. Place the extension cord in such a way that no one can
trip over it and cause an accidental unplugging.
11. To prevent overloading and blowing fuses, make sure that there is
no other appliance with high power consumption connected to the
same outlet or on the same circuit.
12. Do not allow the cord to touch hot surfaces or lead the cord over
sharp edges.
13. Do not touch the hot surfaces of the appliance. Never move the
appliance while it is plugged into the outlet. Allow the appliance to
cool down thoroughly before handling it.
14. Disconnect the cord from the electrical outlet prior to performing
maintenance. When disconnecting the power cable, pull the plug,
not the cable.
15. The appliance is intended for domestic, non-commercial use only.
Do not use the appliance outdoors or for other purposes.
16. Use the appliance in accordance with the instructions in the
manual. Do not use accessories, which were not recommended
by the appliance manufacturer. The manufacturer is not liable for
damages caused by improper use.
17. The appliance may be used only with properly installed plates.
18. Do not line the drip tray with aluminium foil or other materials.
19. The appliance is not designed to be used with timers or other
remote control systems.
20. A close supervision is necessary when the hot plate is used by
children. Never leave a switched on appliance unattended.
