Please check the power supply to ensure that it is between the recommended supply voltages, as exceeding the
maximum may result in permanent damage to the module.
please check the stability of the power supply, the voltage should not fluctuate significantly and frequently.
When designing power supply circuits for modules, it is often recommended to retain a margin of more than
30% to have the whole machine facilitate long-term stable operation.
modules should be as far away as possible from power supplies, transformers, high-frequency alignments and
other parts of electromagnetic interference.
high-frequency digital alignment, high-frequency analogue alignment, power supply alignment must be avoided
below the module, if it is really necessary to pass below the module, assuming that the module is soldered in the
Top Layer, in the module contact part of the Top Layer pavement copper (all pavement copper and good grounding),
must be close to the digital part of the module and alignment in the Bottom Layer.
assumes that the module is soldered or placed on the Top Layer, it is also wrong to run random wires on the
Bottom Layer or other layers, which will affect the spurious and reception sensitivity of the module to varying
degrees.
assumes that the module is surrounded by devices with large electromagnetic interference, which can also
greatly affect the performance of the module.
assumes that the module is surrounded by EMI alignments (high frequency digital, high frequency analogue,
power supply alignments) which will also greatly affect the performance of the module, it is advisable to keep them
away from the module depending on the intensity of the interference, and if the situation permits, to make
appropriate isolation and shielding.
communication lines must be connected in series with 1k-5.1k resistors if using 5V levels (not recommended,
still risk of damage).
the antenna mounting structure has a significant impact on the performance of the module, always ensure that the
antenna is exposed and preferably vertically upwards.
When the module is mounted inside the housing, a good quality antenna extension cable can be used to extend
the antenna to the outside of the housing.
The antenna must not be mounted inside a metal case as this will result in a significant reduction in transmission
distance.
12. Common problems
12.1 Unsatisfactory transmission distance
when there are linear communication barriers, the communication distance will be attenuated accordingly.
temperature, humidity, and co-channel interference, which can lead to higher communication packet loss rates.
ground absorbing and reflecting radio waves, with poorer results when tested close to the ground.
seawater has a very strong ability to absorb radio waves, so the seaside test effect is poor.
the presence of metal objects near the antenna, or placed in a metal shell, signal attenuation will be very serious
incorrectly set power registers, too high aerial rate settings (the higher the aerial rate, the closer the distance).
the low voltage of the power supply at room temperature is lower than the recommended value, the lower the
voltage the less power is generated.
using antennas that are poorly matched to the module or the quality of the antenna itself.
