Troubleshooting guide
Self Sense diagnostic code explanation
A selection of error codes may be illuminated on your digital display if the machine malfunctions. If this
happens please check the code against the description below to try and resolve the issue before contacting
Ebac Customer Aftercare Services on 0845 634 1392.

Error description
User action solution
Machine has not drained
fully after 4 minutes
Turn machine programme selector dial to off. Drain water from the
pump manually
(See page 2

). Remove and clean filter. Replace filter
and retry. If this doesn’t work then call Ebac Customer Aftercare.
Machine has not filled in
alloted time period
Switch off the mains power supply. Check rear inlet hoses for kinks
and the isolating values are open supplying adequate water pressure.
If error persists call Ebac Customer Aftercare.
Door is open while
starting a new program
Close door and the machine will start automatically. If more than 1
minute elapses, the user should open and close the door again and
press start.
Door open detected while
program running (Door
opened by mistake)
Check to see if door is shut correctly. If not shut close and press start.
If error persists call Ebac Customer Aftercare.
Door will not open at the
end of washing cycle
User should turn the programme selector dial to the off position for

and then try to open the door.
If the door does not open,
select a wash programme but do not press start. If it is safe to open
the door
t
wo clicks should be heard, the door lock will be
deactivated and the door will be able to open.
If this does not work,
the door will need to be opened manually by using the emergency
pull cord method
(see page 2

Select desired programme and restart. If error persists, call Ebac
Customer Aftercare.
