6 Calibrate the device
A calibration of the charging station may only be carried out by a specifically
authorized calibration authority. A calibration may only be carried out on a
charging station whose meter seal on the front part is intact. To carry out cal-
ibration, the charging station must be in MID test mode, only then can the
measuring accuracy of the active power meter in the charging station be
checked.
In MID test mode, the energy transferred from the charging station is dis-
played directly on the charging station display. The resolution of the dis-
played energy is 0.1 Wh. In addition, the pulse LED outputs 10,000 light
pulses per transmitted kilowatt hour. With a special testing device, the en-
ergy transmitted by the charging station can be compared with the light
pulses of the pulse LED. This comparison allows conclusions to be drawn
about the accuracy of the energy detection and energy display.
