Set
The key will sets the system in a specified way (such as to full set partition 1 and part
set partition 2). Select
Set
, and then choose what and how you want the system to
set.
In a part-setting system, you can configure the Home key to one of: Full Set, Part Set
B, Part Set C or Part Set D. In a partitioned system, you can configure the Home key
to full set or part set selected partitions.
Before pressing the Home key, the user must enter their user code or present their
proximity tag, unless the system is configured for Quick Set (page 60).
Output
The key operates a selected output. Only outputs of type User Defined are available
for selection.
Hot Key Action
Choose the action of the keypad's Hot key:
Not Used
The key has no function.
Social Care Alarm
Select this if you want the key to generate a "Social-Care" alert when pressed. The
response to a social-care alert depends on the configuration of
Social Care

(see page 101).
Medical Alarm
Select this if you want the key to generate a "Medical" alarm when pressed. The
response to a Medical alarm depends on the configuration of
Social Care

Audible Keys
You can use this option to enable or disable audible beeps that confirm key presses, as
generated by the control unit's built-in sounder .

Radio Keypads (i-rk01)
The i-rk01 1-way radio keypad is a transmitter that users can employ to set, unset and
silence alarms on the system remotely. The radio keypad is a transmitter only, and does
not display any system information or make any alarm, entry, exit tones etc. The LEDs on
the radio keypad glow to show that it is transmitting a signal. There are no set status
LEDs.
Note:
When delivered from the factory, i-rk01 radio keypads transmit four-digit access
codes. If you change the system to use six-digit access codes, radio keypads will no
longer function with access codes (they will still function with prox tags). It is possible to
change a radio keypad to transmit six-digit access codes. Please refer to the i-rk01
installation instructions.
Single-action unset for BS8243/DD243 from a radio keypad:
The radio keypad is capable of providing single-action unset. You can enable or
disable this feature by
using a jumper on the “DD243 Single Action Unset” pins on
the radio keypad's printed circuit board.
