Chapter 11: Social Care Menu
This menu allows you to configure:
Social-care activity monitoring.
Responses to social-care alerts and medical alarms.
Start Monitoring Hour
Specify the time that you want social-care activity monitoring to start each day.
The system monitors all zones that have the Activity Mon attribute, and generates a Social
Care alert if no zone triggers at least once every
Monitoring Interval
within the times
specified by
Start Monitoring
Interval and
End Monitoring Interval
each day.
Note:
A user can manually start a Social Care alert by pressing the button on a Social
Care pendant, or by pressing the Hot key (see page 35) at the control unit.
End Monitoring Hour
Specify the time that you want social-care activity monitoring to end each day.
Monitoring Interval
To cause a social-care alert, at least one detector must trigger within each
Monitoring
Interval
. For example, if you set
Monitoring Interval
to 4 hours, at least one detector must
trigger every 4 hours between
Start Monitoring Interval
and
End Monitoring Interval
to
prevent a Social Care alert.
Social Alarm Response
This determines the response to a social-care alert.
Silent
The control unit keeps the alert silent: there are no alarm tones. The control unit
signals the alert using the communications device(s) and activates any outputs of
type Social Care.
Audible
As well as starting communications and operating outputs of type Social Care, the
control unit causes internal sounders assigned to the partition in which the alert
occurs to beep quietly twice per second for the first 30 seconds, then chirp loudly
twice per second. The first 30-second warning period allows a user to cancel the alert
before it officially starts.
Displayed
This has the same effect as Audible, but the display also shows the alert without a
user needing to enter an access code. If there is more than one alert, the display
scrolls through each alert message in turn.
