Battery test
Refer to Figure 2 for identification of individual VFI tester
switches and other features referenced within the following
procedure.
The VFI tester features an LCD screen, battery connection
terminal,0 and push button for verifying the battery
condition under load. The procedure for conducting a
battery test is as follows:
1.
Disconnect and remove the 15 Vdc lithium battery from
the control.
2. Connect the 15 Vdc lithium battery to the battery test
terminals located on the front panel of the VFI tester.
3. Press and release the Battery Test button.
4. If the battery passes the test, the LCD display of
the tester will display the ‘Battery Good’ message.
Batteries passing the battery test may be placed back
into service.
5. If the battery fails the test, the LCD display of the
tester will display the ‘Replace Battery’ message.
Replace the exhausted battery with a new, equivalent
battery. Exhausted batteries should be disposed of in
an environmentally responsible manner. Consult local
regulations regarding proper battery disposal.

Control tests can not be conducted during a battery
test.
Service information
VFI tester units have no user serviceable components.
Do not attempt to perform any service or maintenance on
these units.

repair, and testing services for Eaton's Cooper Power
