• This article is suitable for use as a decoration indoors and out-
doors. The bowl can be planted with

tions. Any other use is deemed to be improper.

Danger of Burns from Battery Acid!
Batteries can be deadly
if swallowed. Keep batteries and the article out of the reach of
children and animals. If a battery is swallowed, seek medical
assistance immediately.

Danger of Burns from Battery Acid!
If a battery has leaked,
do not allow your skin, eyes and mucous membranes to come
into contact with the battery acid. If you touch battery acid,
rinse the affected area with abundant fresh water immediately
and contact a doctor as soon as possible.

Use only the battery type speci

ed in the “Technical Data”.
■
Always replace all batteries together. Do not use batteries of
different types or brands, or batteries with different capacities.
■
Take the batteries out of the article when they are dead or if the
article is not going to be used for a prolonged period. This will
prevent any damage if a battery leaks.

Remove a leaking battery immediately.
■
Protect the article from naked
fl
ames and impact.
■
Never immerse the column in water or other liquids. It is only
resistant to splashing.
■
During extreme weather conditions (e. g. storm, hail) or if the
article will not be used for a prolonged period, switch off the
article and store it in a dry place at room temperature.

Do not take the article apart and do not attempt to repair it. In
the event of any damage, please contact our customer service
department.
■
Do not use any caustic or abrasive cleaning agents for clean-
ing. These can damage the surface.

Three batteries (1.5 V, AAA type) are required. These are
not supplied with the article.
Inserting / Changing the Batteries
Candle
The battery compartment is located on the bottom of the candle.
PLEASE NOTE:
Before inserting the batteries, check whether the
contacts in the article and on the batteries are clean, and clean
them if necessary.
1. Press the locking catch on the battery compartment cover and
remove it.
2. Take used batteries out if necessary and insert three new bat-
teries (1.5 V, AAA type). Pay attention to the correct polarity
(+ / –) (see inside of battery compartment).
3. Insert the battery compartment cover and
fl
ip it shut. It must
click audibly into place.
If the performance of the article diminishes or it starts to
fl
icker, the
batteries should be replaced.
The battery performance may be severely restricted in
temperatures well below freezing.
Remote control
The battery is pre-installed. Only the transportation protec-
tion needs to be removed.
1. The battery compartment is located
on the narrow side of the remote
control. Remove it as shown.
2. Remove the empty battery and
insert a new battery (3
V, type
CR2025). The positive terminal
must point upwards.
3. Slide the battery compartment all the way back into the remote
control. It must audibly and noticeably lock into place.
Use
1.
Positioning the Article
– Set up the article in a suitable place.
2.
Switching On
– Slide the switch on the bottom of the candle
to the
ON
position switch on the LED.
TIMER:
The LED lights up for 6 hours before automatically
switching off. It can be switched back on again at any time by
sliding the On / Off switch to the
OFF
position and again to the
ON
position.
3.
Turning LED on / off
– To turn the LED on or off (stand-by-
modus), press the
ON
or
OFF
button on the remote control.
4.
Switching Off
–
Slide the switch to the
OFF
position to switch
off the candle.
