GENERAL INFORMATION AND SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using an electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should be observed, including

To avoid possible electrocution, do not operate this lamp near a water source.
2.
For indoor use only.
3.
Keep out of reach of children and animals.
4.
You may use up to a 40W incandescent light bulb. An 18W CFL bulb or 13.5W LED
bulb is recommended.
5.
Always turn the lamp off, unplug the lamp, and allow the bulb to cool completely
before replacing the bulb or installing a new bulb.
6.
Do not pull the plug out of the wall socket with wet hands.
7.
Place the lamp on a flat surface and ensure there are no flammable materials around
it.
8.
Do not use in a bathroom or any other damp place.
9.
It is recommended that you unplug the lamp during lightning storms or when not in
use for long periods of time.
10.
Do not cut or shorten the power cord.
11.
Do not operate the lamp with a damaged power cord.
12.
Always lift the lamp by the shaft.
13.
Do not adjust shade once it is tightened.
14.
Check your local regulations regarding the disposal or recycling of your CFL bulb. The
EPA recommends that consumers take advantage of available local options for
recycling rather than disposing of them in regular household trash. Your area may

state or locality.
