Force Closing Apps (iOS and Android)

 

With iOS and Android devices, closing an app does not close the app completely.  The app will 
continue to run in the background.  Force closing an app can be a useful troubleshooting 
technique. 

 

Android Devices

 

 

Press and hold the home button until the app task 
manager appears. 

 

Scroll up and down to find the desired app.  

 

Swipe the app left or right and the app will close. 

 

Tapping the lower right icon will close all apps running.  

 

 

 

 

 

iOS Devices 

 

Double click the home button. 

 

Scroll left and right to find the desired app.  

 

Swipe the app up and the app will close.
