HINTS ON CORRECT USAGE
•
Use proper gauge wires for connections to
get proper readings.
•
Ensure all terminals are tightly screwed.
•
Use high Speed low resistant Beldon cables
or equivalent for communication networking.
•
Use EAPL make converter for RS485/232
conversion.
•
Connect a resistor of 120 ohms at the end as
shown in drawing.
DISPOSITION
Once the product life is over, you may send back
the unit to EAPL for disposition.
CAUTION
•
Auxiliary should be within the specified
band (
85
-270 V AC/DC)
•
Do not exceed the current limits of 10A
for each phase.
•
Ensure MCB protection is available
between input bus bars and unit
•
Ensure CT & PT ratio is in line with the
respective CT name plates
•
Since it is a high voltage device, only
licensed people should handle it. Proper
care should be taken like switching off
the main incoming line before working
on the meter.
•
EAPL is not responsible for any
consequential damages arising out of use
of our products, though the technology is
cautiously chosen and implemented like
any other well designed good electric
meter
TROUBLE ANALYSIS
1.
Data communication fail
a)
Test whether interface software is
running.
b)
Test whether convertor is powered ON
and connected properly to network.
c)
Check for device ID and baud rate
match in software and in Unit.
d)
Disable power save mode in Master.
e)
Connect 120
Ω
at end point of the
network.
f)
Reset the network for few seconds.
2.
Energy readings mismatch
a)
Check for programmed CT ratio and PT
ratios
3.
Display blinking
a)
High voltage would have entered the
unit.
b)
Switch off the unit for 10 minutes.
