Troubleshooting
This section helps you troubleshoot the

in the event you
have problems with the operation.
Symptom 1:
The
D
ISC
C
LONE
II
has no power.
Solution:
Ensure that you have correctly connected the AC power cord
to the
D
ISC
C
LONE
II
and to a wall socket. Check that the wall socket is
not connected to an on/off switch.
Symptom 2:
The
D
ISC
C
LONE
II
cannot make duplications or recordings.
Solutions:
Check to ensure that you are using the correct mode. If you
are using the
T
URBO
Function, switch to the
S
TANDARD
Function and
see if that works. You might be using a low-quality CD-R/RW disc.
Always use high quality discs when duplicating or recording data to
your
D
ISC
C
LONE
II
. Also, ensure that the
T
ARGET
and
S
OURCE
drive
laser lenses are clean. Use a commercially available lens cleaner to
clean the drives.
Symptom 3:
There is no sound when using the
D
ISC
C
LONE
II
to play
audio CDs in Stand-alone Mode.
Solution:
Ensure that you have connected power speakers, that the
speakers are on, and that they are correctly connected to the
D
ISC
C
LONE
II
. Also, ensure that you have put an audio CD in the
T
ARGET
drive and have pressed the
P
LAY
/F
N
button.
Symptom 4:
The red W
ARNING
LED
lights and I hear a long beep.
Solutions:
A. If this occurs during startup, do the following:
1. Turn off the power.
2. Check the USB and power cord connections.
