BATTERY AND CHARGER ACCESS
Battery Access Slot
Make sure the battery is properly seated against its housing in the frame. Insert the key into the lock on the battery head.
Turn the key to remove/lock the battery in the frame.

NOTE: The keys provided are used ONLY to lock and unlock the battery. Turning the key DOES NOT act as an
ignition for the battery or motor. Please, keep in mind that e-JOE does not carry copies of the keys. It is
recommended to store one key in a safe location in case the first key is misplaced or lost.
Battery ON/OFF Switch
Each EPIK SE battery is equipped with a red ON/OFF switch to preserve the battery when not in use. When the battery is
locked into the frame this switch is accessible through the port on the left side of the frame under the black rubber cap.
When the bicycle is not in use, turn off the red power switch on the battery.

ON (I) = Battery is powered on. LCD Display can be turned on and the PAS, throttle, and USB port can all be used.

OFF (O) = Battery is completely powered off. LCD Display will not turn on. PAS, throttle or any other electrical
components cannot be used. The USB will not charge any plugged in devices.
USB Port
Located next to the ON/OFF switch on the battery cap is a USB port. When the battery is locked into the frame, the USB
port is accessible through the port on the left side of the frame. When the battery is turned on, USB port can be used to
charge any device with a USB compatible charger.

USB charging will use battery life. Be aware of battery level when charging with USB and operating bike
simultaneously.
