We have to call your attention to the fact that if the product becomes defective due to environmental effects
like this, it will be considered as improper handling, and the manufacturer’s warranty will lapse!

•

These electronic kitchen scales contain very fragile parts. Therefore please do not allow children to play with
them unsupervised.

•

Avoid exposing the electronic kitchen scales to direct heat or sun! Do not place the device near to heating
equipment, e.g. heaters, radiators or ovens. This may cause distortion or damage to the device cover and
impair its electronic parts.

•

The device must only be operated on a horizontal, flat surface e.g. a hard surface table or workplate! Make
sure the device is never used on an inclined or otherwise unstable surface - this may result in weighing
inaccuracy, or the scales being overturned from their operating area or dropped. Do not use the scales if the
surface is unsuitable as this might result in accidental overturning or dropping of the product.

•

Do not overload the scales! The device is only capable of weighing a maximum of 3 kg. Loads exceeding
3 kg cannot be weighed or displayed by the scales, and the product can be permanently damaged by
overloading: To avoid this, you must estimate the load to be weighed. The manufacturer shall not assume
any responsibility for damage resulting from overloading!

•

Don’t use the appliance in the presence of explosive or inflammable gases, vapours or liquids.

•

If you do not use the appliance for a longer period of time (more than 1 month) then please remove the
batteries from the battery holder. If you do not do this, corrosive chemicals may escape from the batteries
and damage the appliance.

•

If there is no display after switching on, check the batteries are correctly inserted and making good contact
with the battery holder connectors.

•

No part of the appliance or its accessories should be cleaned in a dishwasher.

•

Do not press the weighing surface of the kitchen scales by hand. Refrain from standing against or leaning on
it!

•

Handle with care and use only your hands to operate the kitchen scale controls.

•

The manufacturer shall not be liable for breakage or damage resulting from any modification, rough handling
or cleaning, battery leakage, incorrectly replaced batteries or neglect of any provision described in the user’s
manual.

•

Take care not to drop anything onto the scales or to allow foreign objects to enter the cover openings or gaps!

•

Do not store anything on the kitchen scales – the weighing surface must only be used  for kitchen
(household) weighing.

•

Place the kitchen scales in a suitable location for weighing without risk of overturning. If left unused, store in
a safe place.

•

Switch off the kitchen scales before cleaning.
