The six spreader rope connection assemblies are installed at the outside end of each of the 1/2" OD fiberglass
spreaders approximately 1/2" from the end as shown below.
Spreader Rope Connection Assembly
Center Post Rope Connection Assembly
The center post rope connection assembly is installed near the top of the center post and provides a superior
rope support connection hub to create the upward bow of the spreaders for the hex beam of your design. The
three 1/4-20 bolts are evenly tightened to hold the assembly on the vertical center post. Once tightened to the
post, the nuts are then tightened to secure the hex bolts in place. The ropes (6 pieces cut to length - plus some
extra for knots) are tied from the holes in the Center Post Connection Assembly to the ends of the six
spreaders through the P-Clamps. The Vinyl End Cap is installed at the top of the center post. This Center
Post Connection Assembly is the same high quality Center Post Connection Assembly used on the DX
Engineering
HEXXAGONAL BEAM.
The black
vinyl
cap is provided for installation at the top of the
center post.
This kit is provided for Amateur Radio Operator's
making their own design hexagonal beam or with
use on other commercially made hex style beams.
Therefore, the overlap and total length may vary
depending on the antenna design being used. You
may want to cut the fiberglass tubes to various
lengths depending on your design. As with all
amateur radio experiments, your results may vary.
If you plan on using these fiberglass spreaders with
the DX Engineering Hexxagonal Beam, please refer
to the instruction manual for the entire
HEXXAGONAL BEAM
for more details.
