Recommendations
on the power tool operation
Setting milling depth (see fig. 12-16)
The adjustment of the milling depth may
only be carried out when the power tool
is switched off.
[OF-1050 NV]
•
Install the power tool on the even horizontal surface
•
Turn stepped stop
20
so that its lowest step is under
depth gauge
14
(see fig. 12.1).
•
Release clamping screw
17
(see fig. 12.2).
•
Move lever
8
up (see fig. 12.3) - this will allow the
power tool body to move
•
Lower the power tool body so that the router bit
end touches the workpiece surface, and move lever
8
down to fix the position of the power tool body (see
fig. 12.4).
•
Move depth gauge
14
so that its end touches the
surface of stepped stop
20
(see fig. 13.1). Thus, you
have fixed the "zero position".
•
In order to set the milling depth, move depth
gauge
14
up with reference to indicator
15
readings on
scale
34
, after which tighten locking screw
17
to fix the
preset milling depth (see fig. 13.2). Now when depth
gauge
14
end touches the lowest step of stepped
stop
20
, the preset milling depth will be reached (see
fig. 13.3). When necessary, you can reach the desired
milling depth at several passes For this purpose,
rotate stepped stop
20
so that depth gauge
14
end
rests alternately upon higher steps of stepped stop
20

• After the works are finished, move lever
8
up and
smoothly raise the power tool body to the uppermost
position, while holding the power tool with both
handles
3

[OF-1400 NV, OF-2100 NV]
•
Install the power tool on the even horizontal surface
•
Turn stepped stop
20
so that its lowest step is under
depth gauge
14
(see fig. 14.1).
•
Release clamping screw
17
(see fig. 14.2).
•
Move lever
8
down and hold it in this position (see
fig. 14.3) - this will allow the power tool body to move.
•
Lower the power tool body so that the router bit end
touches the workpiece surface, and release lever
8
(lever
8
automatically returns to its original position) to
fix the position of the power tool body (see fig. 15.1).
•
Move depth gauge
14
(rotate the flywheel
16
for
this purpose) so that adjusting screw
19
touches the
surface of the stepped stop
20
lower step If necessary,
release locknut
18
and untwist adjusting screw
19
(so
that its end touches stepped stop
20
), and then tighten
locknut
18
(see fig. 15.2 and 15.4). Thus, you have
fixed the "zero position".
•
Move indicator
15
to the "0" mark of depth gauge
14
scale (see fig. 15.3).
•
In order to set the milling depth, move depth
gauge
14
up with reference to the scale marking, after
which tighten locking screw
17
to fix the preset milling
depth (see fig. 16.1-16.3). Now when adjusting screw
end
19
touches the lowest step of stepped stop
20
,
the preset milling depth will be reached (see fig. 16.4).
When necessary, you can reach the desired milling
depth at several passes Rotate stepped stop
20
for
this purpose so that adjusting screw
19
end rests alter-
nately upon the higher steps of stepped stop
20

•
A more accurate adjustment of the milling depth can
be made using controller
7

• After the works are finished, move lever
8
down,
hold it in this position, and smoothly raise the power
tool body to the uppermost position, while holding the
power tool with both handles
3
 Release lever
8

Milling direction (see fig. 17)
Milling should always be performed against
the router bit rotation direction (see fig. 17).
Otherwise, the power tool will be subject to
jerks, which may result in the loss of control
over it
General operational recommendations (see fig. 18-19)
• Mark out and fix the machinable workpiece.
•
Set the desired milling depth as described above
•
Turn on the power tool
•
OF-1050 NV -
move lever
8
as shown in figure 18.1
(this will allow the power tool body to move) Lower the
power tool body slowly and smoothly until the preset
milling depth is reached Fix the body in this position
by moving lever
8
as shown in figure 18.2.
•
OF-1400 NV, OF-2100 NV -
move lever
8
down and
hold it in this position as shown in figure 19.1 (this will
allow the power tool body to move) Lower the power
tool body slowly and smoothly until the preset milling
depth is reached Release lever
8
to
fix the body in this
position as shown in figure 19.2.
•
Perform the milling operation with a uniform ad-
vance, observing the recommendations concern-
ing the milling direction Hold the power tool with
both hands by both handles
3
 Do not apply extra
effort - performing the operation will take some time
Extra effort will not expedite the working process, but
will overload the power tool
• After the milling process is finished, raise the power
tool body to the uppermost position as described above
•
Turn the power tool off
Parallel milling
Using the auxiliary guide (see fig. 20)
You can fix a wood board on the workpiece with the
clamping device and use it as an auxiliary guide Per-
form the milling operation by moving the power tool
along this guide and pressing the even side surface of
base plate
4
to the side surface of the wood board (see
fig. 20).
Using the parallel guide (see fig. 21)
Parallel guide
26
enables milling along the straight line
side surface of the workpiece
•
Install and adjust parallel guide
26
as described
above
•
Perform the milling operation by pressing parallel
guide
26
to the side surface of the workpiece (see fig. 21).
Copy milling (see fig. 22)
Guide bushing
24
enables template milling (including
curved template)
•
Install guide bushing
24
as described
above
