4.2.3 Controls
Via the controls the system can be turned on or off and the LEDs dis-
play the system status.

mute In case of a system malfunction, e.g. a fan
failure, the system alarm turns on. By press-
ing this button the alarm can be switched
mute.
system reset The system reset button resets your video
system and initiates a warm reboot.
If possible, save your data before
resetting the system. Otherwise the
data may be lost.
Pronto2K/ProntoHD delivered with 2 chassis:
Because the disk array does not contain any
computer components, the system reset but-
ton provides no function here.
main power The main power switch turns the system on
or off:
– To turn on the system press the system
power switch briefly.
– To turn the system off when the operating
system is not running, press the system
power switch until the system shuts
down.
– When the operating system is running,
you can initiate a fast shut down by
pressing the system power switch briefly.
If possible, save your data before
turning off the system. Otherwise
the data may be lost.
