4.2 Operational Items
This section describes the operational items of the Pronto2K/
ProntoHD chassis in detail and explains how to operate them.
4.2.1 Faceplate
The operable front panel of the video system is covered by a face-
plate which can be removed to access the operational items.
!
Remove the faceplate by simply pulling it off towards the front.
Figure 4-2: Removal of faceplate
Now you can access the operational items of the chassis.
The faceplate is equipped with LEDs to monitor the status of the vid-
eo hard disks. They show the activity of the internal video hard disks.
To supply the LEDs of the faceplate with power, the faceplate
and the chassis of the video system are interconnected either
via a plug or a cable connection:
In case of the plug connection the plug is located at the bot-
tom right-hand side of the video system’s front (see section
“The Front Panel” on page 2-4). When you pull off the face-
plate, the connection is automatically severed and it is re-
stored again once you put the faceplate back in its place.
In case of a cable connection the faceplate is connected to
the chassis of the video system via a cable equipped with a
plug. To remove the faceplate fully, you have to disconnect
the cable.
