4.3 Update netcfg.ini file  

  

This section explains how to copy the 

netcfg.ini

 on the VS-700L through a USB flash drive. 

 

Preparation – USB flash drive 
 

 

Ensure the USB flash drive is formatted as FAT32 and no “Password control” files 
are installed on it. 

 

Create a new folder “MEDIA” on the USB flash drive. 

 

Create a text file named “UPDATE.INI” on the root directory. Please refer to the 

UPDATE.INI

 section for details.  

 

Create a text file named “NETCFG.INI” and save it onto a “MEDIA” folder in USB 
flash drive.

Note: The USB update does not work without this update.ini file. 

 
 

              

 

 

 

 

Copy the 

netcfg.ini

 into the “MEDIA” folder. This file is now prepared for 

uploading to the VS-700L.
