ESCAPIES Evacuation mat
The ESCAPIES evacuation mat is placed between the mattress
and the bed slats, allowing nursing home residents to be
evacuated by a single staff member. Bed-ridden residents
lying on an ESCAPIES evacuation mat can be slid across a variety
of surfaces and through f.e. narrow staircases.
Instructions for use
• R emove the packaging. Do not use scissors, knives or other
sharp implements when opening
the packaging.
• Insert the evacuation mat between the mattress and the bed
slats of the nursing bed as a
standard.
• Attach the mat to the nursing bed mattress using the elastic
bands at the corners.
• In the event of an emergency securely fasten the nursing
home resident to the evacuation
mattress using the belts.
• Use the grips at the head and/or foot of the evacuation
mattress to slide the mattress
(with the resident on it) across the floor into safety.
Instructions for cleaning
The evacuation mat can be cleaned with a soft cloth and mild
detergents, for example disinfecting agent. Do not use phenol
or solvents.
PLEASE NOTE
• Fla me retardant according to DIN EN ISO 6940.
• Avoid contact with sharp objects.
• Load capacity of approx. 150 kg.
