DANGER High voltage. Risk of fatal injury due to electric shock!
Touching live parts poses an immediate risk of fatal injury.

Permit only qualified electricians to work on electrical equipment.

Before opening the casing of a device or removing a guard protecting against
touching it, deenergise the device, test it to ensure it is electrically dead and se­
cure it against switching on again.
In all installations, ensure compliance with the applicable local regulations and any
supplementary regulations issued by the local power supply companies.
1. Loosen the four (captive) screws and open the supply unit.
Spring terminals are provided in the supply unit for connecting the data cable
screens. These terminals can be released using a hexagon socket key, moved to
the available tapped holes on their rail ( Fig. 5.33 – 1) if required and also changed
to a different direction.

1. Strip back approx. 20 mm of the screen.
2. Using a suitable tool (e.g. a screwdriver), depress the spring terminal into the re­
cess ( Fig. 5.33 – 2) provided for this and insert the screen between the jaws of the
terminal.
