8. Maintenance
This section describes the simple maintenance procedures you should follow to clean the filters, the projection window,
the cabinet, and to replace the lamp and the filters.

Cleaning the Filters
Filters are fixed at two positions on this projector.
Intake vent filter:
At the bottom of control panel.
Prevent the projector inside from dust and dirt accumulation.
Color wheel filter:
Fixed inside the lamp cover.
Prevent the color wheel from dust and dirt accumulation.
In this manual, call the intake vent filter “Filter (A)” and the color wheel filter “Filter (B)”.
If dust and dirt accumulates on the Filter (A), it may cause of trouble by overheat. Clean it periodically. Cleaning is not
necessary for the Filter (B).
WARNING
• Do not use a spray containing flammable gas to get rid of accumulated dust and dirt on the filters. It may cause
of fire.
NOTE: The message for filter cleaning will be displayed for one minute after the projector is turned on. When the message is dis-
played, clean the filter.
To cancel the message, press any button on the projector cabinet or the remote control.
CAUTION
• Before cleaning the filter, turn off the projector and unplug the power cord first. Wait and make sure until the
unit has cooled down completely. Removing the filter cover when the unit is running could result in burns.
Turn off the projector and unplug the power cord before cleaning the cabinet or replacing the lamp.
