ABS system disabling
The ABS system disabling is possible only with
vehicle speed lower than or equal to 5 km/h (3 mph).
To disable the ABS system select the “ABS:OFF”
function using button (1) or button (2) and then press
button (4).
After pressing button (4), the message “WAIT” will
be displayed for 2 seconds instead of “ABS:OFF”
(Fig 31).
After 2 seconds, if the ABS system has been disabled
correctly, the display will show the previous screen
but with the message “ABS: ON”.
Note
When the ABS system is disabled the relevant
warning light turns on.
Note
If during the ABS system status change the
instrument panel detects an error, the message
“ABS:ERR” will be displayed flashing for 3 seconds
instead of “WAIT”. Then, it will display again the
function with the previous status of the ABS system,
so that the action can be repeated.
