To reach adjuster (3) it is necessary to remove the

rider seat and cover (4) next to the battery.

It is possible to work on adjuster (3) through the

opening on the battery support.

Turn adjusters (1) and (3) or knob (2) clockwise or

counter-clockwise respectively to stiffen or soften

the damping or the preload.
STANDARD setting.

Loosen:

●

rebound: adjuster (1) by 9 clicks from the fully

closed position;

●

preload: knob (2) by 8 clicks from the fully open

position;

●

compression: adjuster (3) by 1.5 turns from the

fully closed position.

Recommended calibration carrying maximum load

(bags, top case and passenger) and carrying bags

and top case.

Proceed as follows:

1) rebound: unscrew adjuster (1) by 5 clicks from

the fully closed position;

2) preload: fully screw knob (2): MAX = 12 mm (0.47

in);

3) compression: unscrew adjuster (3) by 0.5 turns

from the fully closed position.

Attention

The shock absorber is filled with gas under

pressure and may cause severe damage if taken

apart by unskilled persons.
When carrying a passenger and luggage, set the rear

shock absorber spring to proper preload to improve

motorcycle handling and keep safe clearance from

the ground.

You may find that rebound damping needs adjusting

as well.
