ABOUT MICROWAVE COOKING
CAUTION
: PERSONAL INJURY HAZARD
Tightly closed containers may explode.
Closed containers should be opened and plastic pouches should be pierced
before cooking.
Some non-metallic materials are not safe to use for microwaving. If in doubt,
you can test the material in questions using the following procedure:
MATERIAL / CONTAINER TEST
1. Fill a “microwave-safe” container with 1 cup of cold water (250 ml) along
with the material you’re testing.
2. Cook on maximum power for 3—seconds
3. Carefully feel the material or container. If the material or container is
warm, DO NOT use it for microwave cooking.
4. DO NOT exceed 1 minute cooking time for this test
5. Please take precautions when testing all “microwave-safe” materials and
or containers.
6. DO NOT allow children to conduct this test.
