INSPECTION, MAINTENANCE, AND CLEANING

     WARNING!

1.

Make sure the Trigger (19) of the Drill is in its “OFF”  position, and

the Battery (27) is removed from the tool prior to performing any inspection,

maintenance, or cleaning procedures.

Before each use,

2.

inspect the general condition of the Drill and its Charger (30).

Check for loose screws, misalignment or binding of moving parts, cracked or broken

parts, damaged electrical wiring, and any other condition that may affect safe

operation.  If abnormal noise or vibration occurs, have the problem corrected before

further use.

Do not use damaged equipment

.

To clean the Drill,

3.

use only a clean cloth and mild detergent.

Do not use solvents.  Do not immerse any part of the tool in liquids.

When storing,

4.

make sure to store the tool in a clean, dry, safe location out of reach

of children and other unauthorized people.

CAUTION!  All maintenance, service, or repairs not mentioned in this man-

5.

ual must only be performed by a qualified service technician.

To Operate The Drill:

Select and install the desired drill or screwdriver bit.

1.

Make sure to install a fully charged Battery (27) in the Drill.

2.

(See Figure G.)

Set the Torque Selector located on the Gear Box (14) to the desired setting.

3.

(See Figures F and G.)

Squeeze (and hold) the Trigger (19) to turn on the Drill.  The Trigger varies the

4.

speed of rotation depending on how far in it is squeezed.

(See Figure G.)

Avoid overloading the Drill.  Always use sharp bits.  Do not apply excessive

5.

pressure to the Drill while drilling.  If the Drill speed drops abnormally, decrease

pressure immediately.  If the bit stops abruptly, or the bit becomes stuck, release

the Trigger (19) at once.

(See Figure G.)

When driving screws into wood or plastics, drill a pilot hole first in the workpiece.

6.

Make sure the length and diameter of the hole is slightly

less

 than that of the

actual screw.  When driving screws into metal, drill a pilot hole slightly

more

 than

that of the actual screw.

When finished using the Drill, always remove the Battery (27).  Then remove

7.

the drill or screwdriver bit and store the tool in a clean, dry, safe location out of

reach of children and other unauthorized people.
