8. Operation

8.1 Scan modus

Turn the unit on by means of the main

switch (43) at the back of the unit. By

this the scanner (1) and the display

(2) at the front of the unit will be acti-

vated. An acoustic signal shows that

the unit is ready for operation; the dis-

play will show the name of the machine

Drufosmart scan.

Every outer package of Dreve thermo-

forming blanks is labelled with a bar-

code label.

This barcode contains the encrypted

product name, material strength as

well as the individual heating and

cooling times.

In order to scan the material data with

the Drufosmart scan the barcode is to

be placed as centrally and evenly as

possible onto the scan field (1).

There will be an acoustic signal for

the confirmation of the data capture

and the display will show all neces-

sary data.

Info

The light emanating from the scan-

ner is harmless. Even in case of

direct eye contact it has no nega-

tive impact!

After 15 min. without use the scan-

ner turns off automatically. By

pressing the OK key it can be re-

activated again. During an active

thermoforming process the scan-

ner is deactivated. After termina-

tion of the process it will be re-acti-

vated automatically.

8.2 Pressure adjustment

The incoming pressure from the com-

pressor must not exceed 10 bars! If ne-

cessary, assemble a pressure reducing

valve into the supply resp. decrease the

total pressure of the compressor.

The working pressure of the Drufosmart

scan is 4 bars (58 psi). The pressure

is controlled digitally and will be con-

trolled permanently.

The effective pressure in the pressure

chamber during the thermoforming

process can be controlled via the bar

chart (g) of the display.

8.3 Start of programme

In order to start the selected pro-

gramme, put a blank that corresponds

to the entered barcode resp. program-

ming onto the plate reception (11) and

fix it by means of the tension ring (13).

The model can either be put onto the

nub plate (6) or fixed by taking out the

nub plate and embedding it into gran-

ules in the insert bowl (6a).

For an optimum adaptation of the

blank towards the model always

place the models in a way that

the anterior teeth are directed

towards the centre of the blank.

When using hard blanks it is

recommended to embed the

models into granules. Models

that are placed onto the nub plate

should not exceed a max. height

of 23 mm.

Swivel the plate reception inwards at

the handle (10) just up to the mechani-

cal interlock in the centre of the unit.

Also swivel in the heating element (4)

at the corresponding handle (5) just

up to the mechanical interlock in the

centre of the unit. Close the ventilation

valve of the tension ring (12).

Press the OK key (f). There will be an

acoustic signal as confirmation for the

activation of the heating; the scanner

will turn off and the adjusted heating

time will elapse in the display.
