8.7 Automatic Power Cut-Outs
The heater is equipped with three features that will
automatically initiate standby mode under specific
circumstances:
Feature
Shutdown conditions
Shutdown timer The heater enters standby mode
when the timer reaches 00:00 once
initiated.
Tilt switch
The heater enters standby mode if
the unit is tilted either forward or
backward by an angle of 25° or
greater in order to protect the
ground from heat damage.
Open window
detection
If the ambient temperature drops
more than 5°C within 10 minutes, the
heater beeps three times and
automatically enters standby mode
in order to save energy when eternal
forces are impacting on the
temperature.
In all cases, if the heater enters standby mode
automatically, the following settings are impacted:
• The target temperature is reset to the default value.
• The shutdown timer value is retained.
• The current timer value is retained.
Press the standby button to switch the heater back on.
