When the Dragon Shock 4 is in standby mode, long press the SHARE
and Cross buttons and connect the gamepad to the computer with the
micro-USB cable provided. The controller driver will enter in update
mode. Then select DOWNLOAD to launch the update.

Refer to the second image below to see if the update was successful.
