Troubleshooting Checklist
A)
Setup a TRIP port
1.
Identify a modem port
2.
Database the port as a TRIP Port
a.
From the master menu, select Parameters, Remote Ports.
b.
Press ‘F’ for find
c.
Enter the dial out port from step 1 and press <Enter>
d.
Verify the port is already marked as, “Port Usage: Halted” (if the
port is not marked halted, check to make sure the port is not being
used for another dial out purpose such as paging or select another
modem port)
e.
Press ‘E’ for Edit
f.
Press <Tab> to enter the port options list.
g.
Press ‘P’ to select “TRIP DIAL UP” from the list and then press
<Enter>
h.
Keep the Serial Format and Modem Setup String default fields by
pressing <Enter> five more times. (Note: The defaults are as
follows: Serial Format: 1200, 8, NONE, 1 and modem setup str:

Return to the Master Menu
a.
Select “Quit” twice to return to the Master Menu.
