The harness is also equipped with a neck band allowing to carry the mask before donning

it. All the rubber components are made of compounds which are designed in order to give

maximum resistance to wear and tear, to atmospheric and chemical agents, high and low

temperatures. Sfera is available in the EPDM and silicone rubber versions. In both versions,

it is equipped with M45x3 thread complying with EN 148/3 standard.

SFERA SP/A ASB is also equipped with a bayonet connector for a high efficiency particulate

filter.

The SFERA ASB mask must be used only with the Diablo Amiante.

Particulate filter ASB P3

The SFERA SP/A ASB has, on its left side a bayonet connector for a P3 particulate filter model

ASB P3 which grants an efficiency against dust particles greater than 99,95% according to

Standard EN 143:00/A1:2006.

The filter is equipped with a permantly attached gasket which is therefore replaced everytime

the filter is changed.

Additionally to the filter body is attached a plug to blind the filter in normal operation thus

preventing breathable air waste from the airline.

E400 AP/A ASB self positive demand valve

E400 AP/A ASB is a positive pressure demand valve of the self-switching type. Its threaded

connector (M45x3) complies with the EN 148/3 Standard. The AP/A ASB self-positive

demand valve belongs to the most advanced generation of demand valves. In fact, it has

been designed to be able to switch automatically from a stand-by mode with no air flow, to

the positive pressure mode by means of the wearer’s first inhalation. This switching requires

to overcome a very limited additional breathing resistance, but it does not require any action

to be intentionally performed by the operator, who can easily forget about it, being himself/

herself too busy during an intervention. At the end of the intervention, by pressing the red

knob placed in the centre of the demand valve, the demand valve itself is brought back to a

stand-by mode. The demand valve medium-pressure air hose is permanently connected to

the medium pressure filter unit.
