USE
SEKUR NAVY MASK and SEKUR NAVY MASK 15C are designed for a
nominal duration of 15 minutes, with breathing rate of 35 litres
(20X1,75l/min.).
9.
OPERATIONS AFTER USE
9.1 DOFFING
Do not interrupt the use of the apparatus and consequently the respiration of
the air contained inside it, until you are not sure to be in a safe breathing
atmosphere.
Completely loosen the head harness of the mask by pulling their ends away
from the face and doff it making it pass over the head.
Close the cylinder valve
Send SEKUR NAVY MASK to an authorized centre to be refilled and/or
maintained.
10.
RESTORATION OF “READY FOR USE" CONDITION
10.1.
CYLINDER REFILLING
Verify that the pressure reducer hand wheel is completely closed.
Remove the cylinder from the harness and connect it to the filling station
following the here below mentioned instructions:
1.
comply with the law dispositions on compressed air containers and verify that
the certificate of the cylinder is not expired;
2.
refill the cylinder to the maximum pressure of 200 bars by coupling the refilling
connector (complying with 200 bar EN 144/2 norm section) to the pressure
reducer. Use only the connection here described
3.
Refill with breathable air complying with EN 12021 Norm.
10.2.
VISUAL INSPECTION
Visually verify the integrity of:
- side bag, harness and cylinder locking system;
- mask and demand valve;
by using gained experience in visual inspection criteria, e.g. verify cracks on
high and medium pressure hose, the integrity of cloth components including
belt, etc.
