1. Loosen the vent screw.
2. Attach the feed plate (1) to the body of
the log splitter and press it down gently.
Note that it will still slope upwards when
it is properly � tted.
3. Attach the left guard plate (4) to the left
support leg using two bolts (8) and two
washers (11).
4. Attach the right guard plate (6) to the
right support leg using three bolts (8)
and three washers (11).
5. Screw the left guard plate (4) and the
right guard plate (6) together using the
connection piece (5), bolts (8) and lock
nuts.
6. Attach the feed plate (1) to the left guard
plate (4) and the right guard plate (6)
using two bolts (10) and two nuts.
7. Attach the cross-brace (12) to the feed
plate (1) using two bolts (10) and two
nuts.
8. Insert � ttings (7) into the holes on the
opening plate (2) and rear plate (3) using
a rubber mallet, and then attach them
to the left guard plate (4) and the right
guard plate (6).
