Configuring the Matrix
4.4
Turning on the Unit
To turn on your matrix lift up the switch guard on the front panel and press the
green button. The button will illuminate green and the LCD will also illuminate
and Microsoft® Windows® 2000 Professional will start to load.
4.5
Calibrating the Touch Screen
To calibrate the touch screen use the stylus that was provided with the unit and
click on the program “Cybertouch”. There are several tabs across the top, click
on the tab “Calibrate”. This is a five point calibration. To start the calibration
click on the button in the center called “Calibration”. With your stylus place on
the upper left corner onto the flashing target and hold until it shows 100%
complete. Follow this same process to the flashing upper right target, the
flashing lower left target then the flashing lower right target and finally the
flashing center target. Your touch screen is now calibrated.
Note: To ensure proper operation of the touch screen the calibration
procedure must be performed each time the unit is turned off and then
back on.

Testing the Ethernet Communication
You should now test the communication between your computer and your
matrix. The ping utility is typically used to test this communication.
Enter the following at the command prompt of a DOS window on your
computer.
Ping <IP address>
<IP address> is the number that was assigned by your network administrator
and was entered into your matrix in “Configuring the Matrix”.
If there is a valid working connection, you should see a response similar to this:
C:\>ping 169.254.111.111
