. For units configured with electrolyte level sensor only
- To install the electrolyte
level sensor, drill a ½ inch diameter hole in the top of the cell to be monitored.
This must not be the first (lowest voltage) cell of the battery. Insert the level
sensor into the cell. Connect the blue return wire to the negative post of battery
cell which is immediately adjacent to, and 2V less than the cell with the sensor.
Note: Pay careful attention to the orientation of the cells when connecting the EL
sensor wires. The voltage across the two wires must not exceed 4V.
