Configuring an IBM Server Running the AIX
Operating System
This appendix provides access information and LUN setup information needed when
you connect a SANnet II 200 SCSI array to an IBM server running the IBM AIX OS.

The SANnet II 200 SCSI supports versions 4.3.3 and 5.1L of the IBM AIX OS in dual-
path configurations using multipath failover drivers for IBM AIX.
Refer to the SANpath User’s Guide for detailed instructions about setting up the device
driver on the server and for additional information about configuring your IBM server.

H.1 Setting Up a Serial Port Connection
The RAID controller can be configured by means of a host system running a VT1000
terminal emulation program or by a Windows terminal emulation program such as
HyperTerminal.
