 SD-2 DETECTOR SENSITIVITY TEST (ULC REQUIREMENT ONLY)

FINAL INSTALLATION AND TEST

engages with hold open assembly.

Open door so slide shoe 

Loosen set screws using 3/32 inch hex wrench. Slide hold open device to desired position.

GREATER HOLD 

Retighten set screws securely.

Hold open position is preset at approximately 90°.

Install detector cover.

With power applied to the detector, connect a volt meter to the two test terminals.

Voltage output terminals are provided to measure the sensitivity of the smoke detector. 

The normal range is between 1.27 - 3.38 Vdc.
