9. Clamp the gas control cable in one of the pull reliefs supplied

same for the cables from the hot surface igniter and flame probe.

10. Check the burner pressure and supply pressure (see paragraph 3.11 ).
11. Remove the sticker showing the new gas category from the conversion kit
and attach it below the water heater’s rating plate. This clearly indicates that
the water heater may no longer be run on the gas for which it was originally
supplied.
12. Start the water heater (see paragraph 7.2 )
Conversion from natural gas to LP gas
1. Perform steps 1 through 9 of paragraph 3.12.2 Conversion to a different gas
category DR-LA 30 through 95 .
2. Detach the burner pressure regulator

3. Fit the high-low control

including the sealing gasket from the conversion
kit. Attach the high-low control to the gas control using two small screws.
4. Detach the cables from the gas control valve, the hot surface igniter and the
flame probe from the 6-terminal connector strip

and the strain relief

5. Fit the timers

including cable harness plus 9-terminal connector strip

from the conversion kit, to the control column.
6. Remove the stop plug (not shown) from the underside of the control column
and replace this with the metric strain relief

from the conversion kit.
7. Draw the high-low control cable

through the strain relief and tighten the
strain relief by turning it until the cable is clamped.
8. Connect the high-low control cable

plug to the high-low control

9. Connect the cables from the timers, high-low control, gas control, flame
probe and the hot surface igniter as shown in the electrical diagram. See
appendix
1.2 Electrical diagram DR-LA .
