ELECTRONIC SYSTEM

WARNING:

Disconnect the power cable before removing the
cabinet cover.

Fuse Replacement

A power fuse is fitted behind a small cover immediately above the power
input connection on the rear panel. The value of this fuse depends upon

the input voltage:

• 110V (nominal): 4A

• 220V (nominal): 2A

The motherboard carries four 4A fuses. Each fuse protects a separate 24V

supply to one half of a Solenoid Driver PCB (and the associated print head

solenoids). Therefore failure of a 7 drop head or half of a 16 drop print head

could be associated with a fuse failure. The fuses are clipped onto the

motherboard.

Three inline fuses are provided in the cables from the mains transformer to

the Low Voltage Power supply PCB. These fuses are:

• Red cables 500mA

• Brown cable 1A

The mains transformer contains a thermal cut out as further protection.
This will not reset if tripped through overheating of the transformer.

PCB Replacement

CAUTION:

When removing or refitting PCBs, anti-static
precautions must be observed.

(1) Disconnect the power cable before removing connectors or PCBs.
