The refrigerator part features a semiautomatic defrosting cycle, but especially on
high temperature control settings ice can nonetheless form on the inside of the
cabinet.
• Before initiating the defrosting procedure, the contents of the refrigerator and
freezer must be moved to a cooler or other refrigerator.
• Shut the unit down and disconnect it from the power grid.
• Open the doors and remove the drawers and shelves and clean them.
• Place a flat vat in front of the freezer to prevent melted water from leaking on
the floor.
• Dry the insides of the unit with a dry cloth and clean and dry the insides with
care.
Note:
Never use a scraper or any kind of electrical instrument to speed up the de-
frosting. The use of electrical aids, such as a hair dryer, to rush the defrosting poses
a clear risk of electric chock. Usin mechanical or heat producing accessories can
damage the surface of the unit.
After the defrosting is complete, you can replace all drawers and shelves and recn-
nect the unit to the power grid. Start the appliance and let it run for a few hours
before inserting food into it. Check the temperature with a thermometer.
Storage and long breaks in operation
• If the unit is not used for longe periods of time or if it is placed in storage, it is
advisable to clean the unit thoroughly.
• Defrost the unit before placing it in storage.
• Leave the refrigerator and freezer doors ajar so the air inside the unit won’t go
musty and cause odors. If needed, place a stopper between the doors and
the frame so the doors cannot close.
• The unit must be stored in a dry environment where the temperature does not
go below +5
o
C.
