Before using the popcorn maker for the first time, it’s advisable to clean the unit and all included accessories.
When finished, wipe the appliance down with a soft, dry cloth. For detailed cleaning instructions, see ‘Cleaning’
section in this manual.
First find a stable place near an electrical outlet before starting. Make sure the cord is away from any water
source.
1. Fill one level measuring cup (80grams / 2.8 oz.) with your favourite popcorn kernels. (See image 10)
IMPORTANT
a. Always use a level measuring cup (80 grams / 2.8 oz.).
b. Under filling the measuring cup can increase the number of un-popped kernels.
c. Over filling the measuring cup can cause popcorn to burn, smoke or damage the appliance.
d. Do not add butter, margarine, oil or toppings to the popping chamber as it will damage the appliance.
2. Slowly pour entire cup of kernels down the hole on the top of the unit until cup is empty. (see Image 11)
3.
Place a bowl under the opening to allow popcorn to fill the bowl. We recommend a large bowl. (Image 12)
Popcorn will fly out if your bowl is too small.
4. Plug unit into outlet.
5. Turn the power switch to the ON position.
6. Once all the kernels have popped turn the power switch to the OFF position.
IMPORTANT:
Do not allow unit to run for longer than 4 minutes.
7. Using oven mitts or pot-holders and carefully remove the measuring cup (if used) and pour butter, or
margarine directly over the popped popcorn.
noTe:
If a few pieces of popcorn remain in the popping chamber after popping has stopped, you can remove
the top using oven mitts or pot-holders and pour the popcorn into the bowl. NOTE: The top will be hot!
Use CAUTION. DO NOT insert your hand into the popping chamber.
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR REPEATED USE
•
ALWAYS allow 15 minutes between popping cycles; this allows the machine to cool down to avoid overheating
and maintains the ideal temperature for making popcorn.
•
REMOVE ALL UNPOPPED OR LEFTOVER POPCORN FROM THE BASE before popping an additional
batch.
•
Note the unit is equipped with a safety thermostat to prevent the unit from damage or overheating, therefore
the unit will not operate until it has cooled off(~15 minutes).
