1) If the couch has been delivered in its flat pack position the legs will be stored
in their folded position. These will need repositioning.
2) With the couch lying on its back remove the M8 bolts
that connect the legs to the frame.
3) To attach the leg, position one side of the leg on to
assembly overo the location peg, then gently ease the
opposite leg outwards onto the second location peg.
4) Using the 2 sets of M8X50 bolts, nuts and washers, secure
the leg fabrication in place.
5) Repeat the procedure for the other leg assembly.
Adjusting Your Couch.
The Bookman couch is fitted with an adjustable
backrest. To alter the position of the backrest lift
the backrest upwards and engage the ratchet
assembly onto the location bar.
To lower the backrest, with one hand take the
weight of the backrest and slightly lift. With your
other hand disengage the ratchet assembly away
from the location bar and lower the backrest.
Do not use the backrest as means of
raising the patient.
