Operating Instructions
DTS 2-P Temperature Sensor Board
7. General Information
The DTS 2-P temperature sensor board is a component of the Dupline installation sys-
tem and allows the conversion of analog temperature values (-30°C up to +60°C) for
transmission on the Dupline bus.
The DTS 2-P transmits the temperature data on one free encodeable Dupline channel
and does not need an external power supply since it is supplied by the Dupline bus.
Due to its design it fits into conventional flush-mounted installation boxes.
8. Important Notes in Advance
• The installation may only be carried out by an authorised technician
• This device is suitable exclusively for operating through the signal conductors of the
Dupline bus system, which have been installed in accordance with the requirements
for protective low voltage (see VDE 0100, Part 410, or EN 50090-9-1). Other signal
voltages - even if extensive protective measures are taken - may lead to irreparable
damage to the device as well as danger to people. For further guidelines refer to the
Dupline Planning Aid.
• The DTS 2-P is an open, unprotected circuit board. When touching the DTS 2-P any
static charge of the body could damage the board's components. Therefore, before
mounting it discharge body static by touching earthed objects with your hands
9. Coding
With the DHK 1 hand encoder the analog data channel can be assigned any address be-
tween A1 and P8 via the modular plug connector. The allocation of the channel is as fol-
lows:
Functions which are not required should remain uncoded. Encoding the DTS 2-P re-
quires neither a power supply nor the Dupline signal. Although the coding is permanently
retained, it may always be overwritten.
10. Putting into Service
Installation may only be carried out by an authorized technician. The DTS 2-P is suitable
for installation in flush-mounted housings; to achive a correct temperature measuring it
is necessary that air can pass through the housing unhindered. Observe the connection
diagram on page 6 when installing.
All leads to be connected must be dead. Connections between the Dupline signal and
earth potential will cause malfunctions and are not permissible. In addition, check for the
correct polarity of the Dupline signal. The following table illustrates the connection con-
