Positioning the Speakers
You can mount the speakers on a plane and stable surface.

The spacing between your loudspeakers will depend on the size of your listening room
and the distance of your seating from the loudspeakers. As a general rule, they should
not be closer than 1.5m (5 ft) and the space between them should not exceed the distan-
ce of your listening position. Placement of the loudspeakers and the listener as shown
here is not a bad rule to follow.

The best balance of sound is achieved when the listener is 5° of the reference
axis in the vertical plane. This equates to a range in height of 0.5m (20 inches) at a typi-
cal listening distance of 3m (10 ft). At progressively larger angles, the change in the rela-
tive time delay between the drive unit will gradually cause a response dip around the mid
to high crossover frequency.

The loudspeakers of all boxes should be at the same height as the ears of the listener.
Ø
Take care not to set up the speakers close to a TV set as otherwise this can lead to slight
colour distortions of the TV picture. If that should happen increase the distance between
the speakers and the TV set. Then switch off the television and wait for 10 minutes before
you turn it on again. The centre speaker is magnetically shielded, so it shouldn’t cause
any problems in the near of the TV set.
