The best example of a true stereo signal is from an
audience applauding during a live recording. This is
represented graphically on the oscilloscope as a perfect
circle or ball, as shown in Figure 4-3.

The peak programme meter (PPM) directly measures the
quasi-peak levels of complex electrical signals, such as
music and speech.
The PPM accomplishes this by:
