Storage
When
putting away
the vacuum cleaner, you can also use
the stow-away hook mount (Fig. 11/1) on the underside of
the cylinder vacuum cleaner. This is where you can hook
the stow-away hook (Fig. 11/2) for the metal insert tube or
the telescopic tube. Push the telescopic tube (Fig. 11/3)
together completely before hooking in.
If you want to store the appliance for a longer period of
time, remove the dust bag and the filters. Store the
appliance in a cool, dry room.
3.4
Using the combination
shoulder strap
The appliance has a combination shoulder strap. This
makes it possible for you to carry the appliance over your
shoulder or on your back. This is particularly useful if you
want to vacuum areas that are hard to access, for example
a stairwell.
Carrying it on your back
1.
Secure the hook for the shoulder strap on to the handle
(Fig. 12/1). The shoulder straps must point to the
bottom of the appliance.
2.
Make sure that the zip closure for the combination
shoulder strap is open.
3.
Insert the shoulder strap clasps into both lower holders
on the back of the appliance (Fig. 12/2).
4.
You can now carry the vacuum cleaner like a rucksack
on your back (Fig. 13).
WARNING:
If you leave your work area, switch off the appliance and
observe the instructions under
Z
Chapter 3.2, "Switching
off and retracting the power cable"
. This will help avoid
accidents.
