Keeping warm operation
You can use the "keep warm" mode if you
want to keep water ready at a given tempera-
ture.
To activate the keep warm mode, proceed
as follows:
1.
Fill the kettle as described under
Z
Chapter 3.2, "Filling"
.
2.
Switch on the kettle as described under
Z
Chapter 3.4, "Daily use"
.
3.
Press the "keep warm" button „
KEEP
WARM
“ to activate the "keep warm" mode
(Fig. 6).
- The green indicator-light goes on (Fig. 6).
- The kettle now heats up until the set tem-
perature is reached.
- Then the kettle switches itself off, the red
indicator light goes out.
- The keep warm function is still active.
(The green indicator light is on.)
- If the temperature drops, the kettle switch-
es itself on again, reheating the water.
(The red indicator-light is on.)

Push the On/Off switch „
ON
/
OFF
“ to deac-
tivate the keep-warm mode.
The green keep-warm indicator light and
the red in-use indicator light go off.

Automatic switch-off
The watter kettle has an automatic switch-off
that prevents overheating (within 30 seconds)
to avoid damage to the appliance.
The kettle automatically switches off when
- the set temperature has been reached.
- it has been filled with too little or no water,
- the kettle is taken off of its base.

After use
1.
Completely empty the kettle.
2.
Put the kettle back onto its base.
3.
Pull the mains plug from the socket.
Before storing your appliance for a pro-
longed time:
1.
Decalcify the kettle

2.
Store the appliance in a cool, dry place.

ATTENTION:
Wait until the heating-plate has cooled off
completely. Only then may the kettle be
filled with water again.
WARNING:
Always put the kettle back onto its base
after pouring out the water; this conceals
the contact pins and protects them against
touching, water and dirt.
